ICON in Education Design Awards
A goal of Learning By Design Magazine is to promote, educate, and help professionals whose work exemplifies how the design of the physical environment impacts learning, teaching, programming, and related social outcomes.
-
The ICON in Education Design Awards will recognize significant K-12 Educators, Architectural, and Influencer/Consultant Professionals who are "change agents", who "go beyond the norm", and who "step out of the box" as reflected in their body of work that was influenced and shaped by the learning environments they have created.
-
An ICON Award-nominated person must be sponsored by a third party. Sponsors may nominate one or more individuals with a strong record of leadership and change-maker demonstration specifically for improving the PK-12 educational experience despite obstacles perceived unsurmountable to others. This includes positively impacting the cultural, social, emotional, economic, academic, and well-being outcomes for the communities they serve that were spurred or influenced by the improvement of the built environment.
